Age of Anxiety and Action: His "Friends Studio" in Chandigarh had been the meeting place of artists', poets', writers' art critics', university professors', architects', high court judges', ministers', administrators' and governors' of state. During long drink sessions, serious affairs of human existence were debated for... One late night in a heated argument, I realized the pain and anxiety of the common man. It was 1967, and I happened to visit some villages in Bihar State (India), where draught had affected the common man. This led me to paint the series of anxiety and action. Some of these paintings are in the collection of museums, and in public and private collection in India and western world.
